A couple of Powerball players in New York State had an incredibly fortunate Saturday night.

The New York State Lottery announced that there were two "Big Money" winning Powerball tickets sold in New York from Saturday's drawing including one ticket that won $150,000.

Every one of those tickets matched four out of five numbers and included the Powerball number. Additionally, one of the tickets featured the Powerplay option, which tripled the prize amount.

The Powerball numbers that won on Saturday are: 3, 6, 32, 37, 65, and the Powerball is 04.

Since no one won the grand prize on Saturday, the jackpot is set to increase. The current total has risen to $285 million for the Powerball drawing on Monday.

Should a resident of New York win the Powerball on Monday, the jackpot would become the 5th biggest in the history of the state, exceeding the existing 5th largest jackpot by nearly $30 million.

The fifth largest lottery jackpot in the history of New York State, amounting to $256 million, was claimed just a few weeks ago. A winning ticket for this grand prize was purchased on December 7, 2024.

In April 2023, a New York State resident named Johnnie Taylor made headlines by winning the largest lottery jackpot in the state’s history. He claimed the Mega Millions grand prize, which amounted to an incredible $476 million.

To have a chance at winning Monday's Powerball jackpot, make sure to purchase your ticket by 10 PM on Monday evening.

Powerball tickets are priced at $2 each, or you can opt for a $3 ticket that includes the Powerplay feature. This Powerplay option can multiply your winnings by 2, 3, 4, or even 5 times the original prize amount.

The Powerball draws take place at 10:59 PM on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays.
